Dr B Christina Pal, BS, STB, MA, STL, STD

Director of Theology & Senior Lecturer

Dr Christina Pal is the Founding Director of Lux in Tenebris. She specialises in Systematic Theology & Biblical Theology – keeping Scripture & Dogma together. She encourages a Canonical approach to the reading of Sacred Scripture, and a Catholic understanding of Divine revelation and the organic development of dogma.  Teaching Sacred Theology with a hermeneutic of continuity in a manner that is both rooted in Scripture and Tradition, and expressed in a language that is accessible for the 21st century student, Dr Pal’s courses equip students to be critical thinkers, to make appropriate distinctions, and to use everything (from every source) to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the fullness of the faith.

Dr Pal is a senior lecturer for Lux in Tenebris and Claritas Spiritual Theology, a senior lecturer & module convener for the Mater Ecclesiae Pontifical College and St Mary's University Twickenham, an adjunct  lecturer for Oscott College (Seminary), and an adjunct lecturer for Maryvale Institute. Dr Pal studied theology at the Pontifical University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in Rome, where she earned the Baccalaureate in Sacred Theology as well as an M.A. with specialisation in Thomistic Studies, a Licentiate in Sacred Theology with specialisation in Dogma, and the Doctorate in Sacred Theology. She has been an Adjunct Professor for the Augustine Institute and for Christendom College’s Rome Program, as well as Adjunct Professor of Theology for the Institute for Continuing Theological Education and Priestly Formation at the Pontifical North American College in Rome.  She was Senior Academic Tutor for the School of the Annunciation at Buckfast Abbey and Senior Lecturer for the Academy of the Annunciation in Bournemouth.
